“Develop a business owner attitude,” the speaker mentioned at a business development seminar I attended recently. He explained that many people seem to apologize for their home business and belittle it by referring to it as “just a hobby.”
*Be proud of your home business
*Treat it as a business
*Set up a bookkeeping system
*Have business cards, even if your business is mainly online
*Dress like a business person. This will enable you and others to take it more seriously.
*Set up a schedule, generally stick to it, but have the ability to be flexible, too.
*Have fun with your business.
