A Heritage From Grandparents, Who Often Inspire Us in Life & Business
September 17, 2008 by Mary Emma Allen
This past week, over at the b5media Lifestyles Channel we paid a tribute to grandparents, in recognition of Grandparents Day.
The b5media Lifestyles Channel pays tribute to their own grandparents with memories, recipes and values handed down from generation to generation, said Channel Editor Gayla McCord.
At Quilting and Patchwork, where I also blog, I wrote a tribute to my grandmother for my quilting heritage and for introducing me to this art. As a result of this, I operated a home quilting business for many years. Now this enjoyment of quilting has translated into writing about it as part of my writing business.
Over at One Book Two Book, where I also write, I reminisce about the reading heritage from my grandparents. My mom’s father also was a writer, so I seem to have received a writing heritage from him.
What memories, do you have about your grandparents and the heritage they’ve given you. Since I’m a grandparent myself, I hope I’m passing on to my grandchildren…memories, values, and stories of their heritage.
You’ll also enjoy visiting the Lifestyles post and learning how grandparents influenced the lives of the other bloggers.
