A Spree…All For Free(?)…With A Tax Rebate
We’ve been discussing, here at the Business Channel, after Jennifer Hofmann at MyOrganizedBiz initiated a tax rebate daydream meme, how we’d spend ours. Most have been assuming $600, but is appears in some cases it may only be $300.
Supposedly it’s all for free. However, somewhere, somehow, and by someone, the money will have to be paid. Does this mean higher taxes eventually?
Anyway, I should be sensible with mine and apply it toward the higher fuel bill that accumulated over the long, cold, snowy winter in New Hampshire.
If I splurged, I’d get one of the laptops I’ve been looking at to replace mine that’s taking a “rest.” Six hundred dollars would nearly cover the cost of one I’ve been eyeing.
If you want to read a fun post about how my co-blogger Yvonne Russell would spend a rebate (there aren’t any in Australia where she lives), check out, $600 - Mine To Spend As I Please And All Guilt Free.
Kelly Erb, at Taxgirl, has a number of posts with up to date information about the rebate situation.

I’m not going to tag anyone in this meme, but I invite you to participate and tell us what you plan to do…pay bills or supposedly boost the ecomony by spending for something new.
