Considering Freelancing? Which Job Posting Site is the Best?
March 7, 2009 by Jean Murray
If you want to increase your home business or work-at-home income, you may be considering freelancing. That is, working for someone else from your home. There are lots of freelancing job sites out there, but you have to be careful:
One new site you might try: Freelancers’ Oasis. They charge you a monthly fee to look at ads, but they guarantee that all the ads the post are “scam free.” In other words, you aren’t going to see any “scam” jobs on their site, nor do they put up job postings that require you to pay to get the job. They also don’t list home business opportunities, just jobs you can do at home working for someone else.
The list of the kind of jobs they don’t list is a “whose who” of scam artists:
Get-rich-quick schemes · envelope stuffing · craft assembly · party plans · pyramid selling schemes · MLM activities · franchises · home-based businesses (although some are legitimate · “jobs” requiring an up-front or start-up fee or payment for work-related materials · bidding jobs and projects · commission only jobs · paid-to-surf and reviewing websites · placing ads · paid-to-read e-mail · taking surveys · mystery shopping · affiliate link jobs · chain letters · club memberships
People who are desparate for a job get taken advantage of. Don’t let that be you. I’m not making any promises about Freelancers’ Oasis; try it and let me know what you think.
