Gardening Businesses Popular This Year
During this time of economic slowdown, many more people are raising their own food this summer. Many gardening related businesses are among those that show increased sales.
Do you have anything garden related in your business? Or can you adjust to appeal to the home gardener?
In some parts of the country, and the world, gardens have been planted and some people are starting to use foods they’ve grown. In other areas, like New Hampshire (USA), where I live, we don’t fully plant our gardens until after Memorial Day, May 30, because we still can experience frost.
Gardening related ideas for businesses:
- Offer gardening advice. A friend asked me to help her set up a gardening blog where she can offer advice and information. This should help her promote her master gardener business.
- Add a blog to your already existing gardening business that informs, advises and entertains.
- Offer to write blogs for gardening businesses.
- Let people know, in your blog, about any unique tool or gardening equipment you offer.
- Provide a place, such as your blog, to answer gardening questions.
- If it’s possible, add an online purchasing aspect to your home business.
- Add gardening related items to your stock…such as quilt hangings with a gardening theme, clothing for gardeners, recipes for gardeners, gadgets for gardeners, etc.
