“Going Green” With Your Home Business

“Going green” has become the buzz word nowadays; in fact it’s such a priority with some people that they look aghast at you if you do anything they don’t think is appropriate for keeping the earth green and the air pure.

Also, if President Obama has his way, we soon shall see energy type taxes on businesses and utilities, thus raising our cost of living and affecting all enterprises. Supposedly jobs will be created to regulate and ensure we remain “green.”.

So why not become a business that helps other businesses in their attempts to ensure they’re complying? Or become a business that’s in the forefront of this trend.

  • Help educate and inform.
  • Produce items that comply with green codes.
  • Develop a consulting firm that helps businesses and home owners.
  • Publish an online newsletter that informs. This could be a separate entity that takes advertising and freelance articles. Or it might be a newsletter that goes along with your business and educates your customers.
  • Develop a blog that informs and educates.
  • Research the true facts behind global warming and going green and let people know. Thus they won’t be so caught up in the hype and follow blindly without looking at the true story.

What are you doing to be “green” in your business?
