Halloween or Harvest Time at Your Home Business

October 30, 2007 by Mary Emma Allen

Most businesses, especially those with walk-in customers in the United States and Canada, recognize Halloween.  However, in some places, this is called a Harvest Festival because a number of people don’t celebrate the season of ghosts and goblins.  Many of the same decorations and colors are applicable to both.

Festivities surrounding these occasions may involve businesses opening their doors for trick-or-treaters, as they do in the town where I live.  Other businesses have special sales.  Most any of them decorate with the Halloween or Harvest theme.  As a home business owner, you can participate in these, too.

Take a look at Tammy Powley’s Jewelry and Beading blog  for an example of an online business with creative Halloween ideas.  She has many original designs for jewelry you can make with this theme.  Simply scroll down the blog to see pins, earrings, charms and a beaded Halloween card.

If you’re in a part of the world that doesn’t have Halloween festivities and your season isn’t fall, see what you can participate in.  Become creative and brainstorm.
