In this world of environmental concerns, whether real or imagined, businesses that emphasize the “green” in their business generally have more success in getting noticed.  If you’re experiencing a slowdown with your business during this sluggish economy, consider how you might be able to enter the “green” movement momentum.  If you can slant your business to encompass some phase of environmental concerns, you may be able to attract more customers.

As I browse around the Internet and through newspapers, I enjoy leaning about small and home business ventures that feature success.  Some of these are very unique and bring great enjoyment to the owners.

Australia Kicks Off Earth Hour – Will You Take Part?

Australia kicked off Earth Hour in 2007 when 2.2 million Sydnesiders switched off their lights for one hour at an agreed time.
In 2008, Earth Hour has gone global. At 8 p.m. March 29th in your time zone, the idea is you hit the lights at home or at your business, and switch off any non essential electrical appliances. It’s a way to raise awareness about going green.
Some city landmarks will be dimmed with only essential lights. The Sydney Opera House and The Sydney Harbour Bridge are two icons which are going green to honor Earth Hour.
