February has been designated as Heart Health Month, so many businesses, traditional as well as those in the home, are participating in donations and charity drives to benefit the American Heart & Stroke Association.  b5media has set a goal to raise $5,000 for this cause in their Heart Matters: a Charity Drive.
                              Sometimes businesses will participate in causes such as Heart Health Month by hading a donation container at the check-out counter.  Other times the owners and employees will join a walk or run for health.  Perhaps they’ll donate a percentage of the sales of specific items.

In a previous post, I described gifts the home business owner might give at Christmas time.  Now…what would the business owner like?
Each business owner has different interests and needs, so it’s difficult to find many common gifts.  However, a bookkeeping system or system update comes in handy.  Since most small business owners do much of their bookkeeping, possibly having an accountant help them set it up or finalize it, the computer programs for doing this save a great deal of time.

When we talk of gifts as the holiday season approaches, small business owners often turn to their own talents. What can you do when it comes to offering a gift, whether it’s an item you produce or a service you offer?
