Work at Home “Holiday Shipping” Contest – More About the LabelWriter®
December 8, 2008 by Jean Murray
My daughter-in-law stopped by this weekend and was salivating over the LabelWriter® prize in the “Holiday Shipping” contest. She did ask a couple of questions about the types of labels you can use and about the stamps feature. We found out:
What kind of labels can you print on the LabelWriter® “Twin Turbo”? Here is a list: address labels, shipping/mailing labels, internet postage, file folder labels, media labels (disk, vhs spine, and audiocassette), price tag labels, name badges , appointment/business cards (for medical offices).
How does the stamps software work? You will need to set up an account with Endicia, a licensed USPS provider, and pay a monthly fee for their service (in addition to the cost of the stamps). The Standard account (their lowest level account) costs $9.95 a month. Endicia works with Mac computers as well as PCs, and they offer a “help me choose” feature to help you determine what level of service to select.
You can also set up an account with EBay and pay for the stamps with PayPal. (I couldn’t tell if the EBay account required a monthly fee.)
Here are the contest details as a reminder:
1. Respond to my December 5 post with a comment: Tell me specifically how you would use the LabelWriter in your business. You can’t just say “to print labels and stamps.” Tell me what you are printing, or the type of business you have that requires you to use it.2. Include your email address, so I know how to contact you. Please don’t respond to today’s post (I can’t do the random number generator on two posts).
2. Only U.S. residents are eligible, because of shipping costs.
3. The contest will run starting immediately through Sunday, December 14. Your comment must be posted by 11:59 on Sunday, December 14.
4. I will run all comments through my handy-dandy random number generator and come up with a winning entry. I’ll notify the winner on Monday, December 15, to ask for your mailing address, and I will pay for shipping your LabelWriter® to you.
5. Remember, you must include specific details about how you will use the LabelWriter® and you must include your email address.

Dymo is the greatest! I used one of their label makers for on site conference registration, sure beats the old magic marker and avoids the awkward, “Why don’t I have a name tag?” discussion.
