Ideas for Arts & Crafts Home Business Owners
November 15, 2006 by Mary Emma Allen
Many people involved in or thinking of home businesses practice some type of art or craft. They work in their homes and often sell their products in a home shop, one outside the home or online.
In addition to this blog for b5media, I also write one on Quilting and Patchwork, www.quiltingandpatchwork.com. Occasionally there, I discuss business aspects of quiltmaking and the fiber arts.
I also, several years ago, operated a quiltmaking business in our home. For ten years, I wrote quiltmaking business columns for magazines and newspapers.
Recently, through my Quilting and Patchwork blog, I participated in an Artist Showcase on the b5media Arts and Crafts Channel. In case you’re thinking of turning your art or craft interests into a home business or already have, perhaps you’ll find inspiration and ideas by visiting the round-up of the Artist Showcase, hosted by Katelyn of the Stamping Mad blog (http://www.stampingmad.com/thanksgiving-november-b5media-artist-showcase/ )
