Older people joke that they’re still trying to work out what they want to do when they “grow up”. Being young at heart and having a zest for business and life, is what drives many older entrepreneurs.
This demographic is also the fastest growing group on the internet so are savvy about searching out resources and support networks.
The Times Online has an interesting article about people who started their business in their 60’s. Rayment Kirby, a camera maker is still going strong with his business at 75 years of age.

We’ve talked about young entrepreneurs, but what about the older or baby boomer entrepreneur?
Many people past the traditional retirement age choose to work part time. Others work from home or set up their own small businesses.
The Prime Business Club offers a wealth of free resources for older entrepreneurs over 50. It is UK based and offers a forum. Even if you are not in the UK, I’m sure you’ll find the information on the site valuable.
I’m still searching to see if there is something similar in the US, Canada, Australia etc. Does anyone have information on this?
