Basing Your Home Business Promotions Around Themes

September 19, 2007 by Mary Emma Allen

Someone brought to my attention that today, September 19, was International Talk Like a Pirate Day.  Pirates, pirate movies, pirate stories, pirate toys and games have become so popular in the past few years, since Pirates of the Caribbean was released, then movies number two and three.

Do you ever base your home business promotions around popular themes or theme days?

There are holidays, community days, regional celebrations, and days like the one mentioned above that can spark unique promotions for your business.  Even though the pirate day soon will be behind us, you could carry it forward because this is such a popular topic nowadays from Pirates of the Caribbean to revivals of Peter Pan

It’s not too late to put it on your calendar for next year, either. Especially if you are going to purchase or make promotional items based on the theme, you will need some lead time.

Thanks, Laura, for stopping by and leaving this suggestion…that business owners can begin planning for next year. Put the various dates on their calendar and plan ahead for them. Good idea.
