Lindsay Buroker left a comment on one of my posts here at Home Biz Notes. When I visited her blog, Writing for Your Wealth, I thought, “This information is great for online writers.” So I invited her to write a guest post.

Actually it has evolved into six parts because Lindsay has so much to share.

How To Turn Your Love of Writing into a Money Making Blog

(Introduction)

By Lindsay Buroker

You’ve probably heard that saying that applies to so many industries, 10% of the people make 90% of the money.

Is that true in blogging as well? Probably so, but what you may not realize is that you don’t have to be all that brilliant, all that networked, or all that prolific to make it into the top 10%. I’m not any of those things (and let me tell you, it was crushing when that IQ test revealed my lack of brilliance), and I make a good full-time income on about an hour of work a day.

The great thing about writing content for a blog or website is that it never goes away. Articles I wrote three years ago are still being read and still earning me money. If you can commit to writing a bit each day,  you, too, can join that top bracket of money-earning bloggers. (It doesn’t even have to be an hour.  Long term commitment to working a little each day will get you a lot further than writing a lot for two weeks and then never going back.)

I’m going to break the process down into five steps to keep things simple.

(Check out Lindsay’s post tomorrow for Step 1 of the process.)

Yay, I’m going to be famous! Okay, maybe just slightly less unknown, but I’ll take it!

Thanks for chopping up my article and finding a place for it on your blog, Mary Emma. :)

    Hi Mary Emma:

I hope things are going better for you and your family! Just stopped by to say hello. I like what you’ve done with the place!

I also wanted to provide a blogging or co-blogging idea relevant to home business. Many home business seekers are attracted to the many vending opportunities- especially those with well-known names. The pitch sounds great, but vending is one of highest fraud areas of business opportunities (biz opp), licensing and franchising.

Here’s an interesting story you may want to share with your readers both as a warning about vending or other scams that use well-known names to add credibility, and the damage a company’s reputation can suffer by associating with the wrong people.  While Red Bull spends millions in advertising and sports sponsorships to create a positive image, a bad vending franchise program has ignited a controversy involving a very angry & vocal group of investors.  Feel free to link to and or quote from the dozens of comments they are leaving on franchise watchdog site Unhappy Franchisee and Franchise Pick.
