Bookkeeping for Your Home Business

January 14, 2007 by Mary Emma Allen

Although producing products, rendering services, and generating sales are vital to a home business, setting up a bookkeeping system and keeping it up to date is very important, too. Many small business owners neglect this aspect and find themselves scurrying around at tax time trying to find the figures they need.

There are many record keeping systems you can use and many are computer generated these days. Keeping your checkbook records with a computer program often will enable you to transport the figures directly into a tax program as well.

An article with more details on record keeping can be found at Yahoo! Small Business. From here you’ll find more resources about bookkeeping and record keeping.
