Do You Include A Clear Call To Action In Your Advertising Materials?

August 18, 2008 by Yvonne Russell

button-tip.pngWhen glancing at Yellow Pages ads, you’ll notice that many ads leave out the most important element – a clear call to action.

Showing benefits before features is important. but it’s no use getting people interested, if you don’t make it clear what you’d like them to do next. Without a call to action your advertising materials are passive.

The purpose of advertising materials is as a jumping off point for your prospect or client to take the next step, whether that be to e.g. phone you, download a free report, send for more details, ask further questions or to sign up.

A clear call to action in all your advertising materials is a basic marketing strategy. Many people also include a call to action on their business cards.

  • What types of calls to action have worked for you?
