If you have green fingers and some space, but don’t have a huge acreage, a herb farming business may be the answer for you.
Small Scale Herb Farming
I know people who run successful small scale herb farming businesses from one or two greeenhouses, supplemented by some container plantings. Some suppliers cater for restaurants and local produce or gourmet stores, and concentrate on seasonal herbs or herbs for gourmet cooking.
Herbal Products – Value Adding

What fun! I think that this is one of those instances in which a hobby can turn profitable. (Although, I’m sure that there are some large-scale herb farms around as well.)

I know a few people who’ve had home based herb gardens which have been profitable, so it can be done.
I wonder what other businesses people have transformed from a hobby to a business.
