Signs Of The Times To Watch For In Your Home Business
September 14, 2008 by Mary Emma Allen
In recent months, there has been a downturn in some areas of the economy in the United States and Canada. Has your home business been affected?
How can you protect your business?
My husband and I have lived through a number of ups and downs in the ecomony and business. When I begin to see certain signs in my businesses or others I’m associated with, I go on the alert. This is not to say there will be a disaster, but it’s better to be aware and go into a protective mode.
How to you know what to watch for? Which signs signal a possible business or job downturn? How can you hedge against them?
Over the next few days, I’ll write a series of posts about this.

Hi, Mary Emma:
I’m looking forward to your upcoming posts on this topic. My wife and I both run home-based business — I write, she does costume design for plays — so we’re always trying to look ahead. There is no time for complacency when you’re running a home-based business.
