What Is The Strangest Place You’ve Held A Client Meeting?
February 17, 2008 by Yvonne Russell
Okay, I’m curious – What is the strangest place you’ve held a client meeting? Or where would you love to have a client meeting?
I’m thinking maybe an all expenses paid meeting in Ireland, one of my favorite places to travel, would suit me fine. How about you?
I’m racking my brains, but my meetings have all been in pretty conventional places… nothing interesting to report, so I’m counting on you for your experiences or where your ideal client meeting would be.

Lol, the image that flashed into my mind was back in the day… way back you understand, when I was selling land. The office was typical, but my approach wasn’t… I was dressed in jeans and boots and this was way before anything but suits were popular… and I went so far as to put my feet up on this guys desk… it worked… sold him a big chunk of land… we all won, but I’m not sure I’d recommend that approach… I was following my intuition and feeling smarty pants.
Thanks, Anne, for sharing your experience. Sometimes we have to go with our intuition or “gut” feeling about a situtaton and hope we’ve read it right. For you, this worked in this situation.
Great story Anne… sounds like your intuition paid off.
How’s this for strange – an open-air lesbian bar (with musical performers).
Only when I arrived at the place did I know what kind of establishment it was – I thought it was a restaurant. It was the client who picked it out. It was so annoying, because I couldn’t hear anything the client was saying. Apart from the loud music, there was a lot of chit chat in the background. If only I had a dollar for each time I said “What?” or “Speak louder, I can’t hear you!”
Hi Celine
LOL… I can just picture you shouting to be heard above the noise… A noisy bar is probably not the most conducive spot for a business meeting.
